Cristina and Ryan might just be the cutest couple in Arizona. They opted for a beautiful desert landscape for their wedding and it did not disappoint. When they said their I dos, a gentle breeze moved through the desert. They were surrounded by mountains, a blue sky and huge Sguaro cacti. This was one of my favorite wedding scenes I’ve ever photographed.
Whenever I travel I try to spend as much time exploring interesting places as possible. Thats why when I was in Arizona this weekend for a wedding, I drove a little outside the beaten path to find the Abandoned Domes of Casa Grande. They were at one point supposed to be a manufacturing facility in the 1980s, but ended up never being completed. They’ve been sitting in Casa Grande ever since, wearing away from the elements and time. I met our model Summer out in these domes and we experimented with lighting and poses. It was a really fun time exploring the domes and taking photos!
I think the thing that drew me most to Molly and Brandon, aside from being a fun, gorgeous couple, was that they happen to have a vision that is in line with everything I love. Their wedding venue happens to be one of my favorite places on earth. Molly also mentioned that she grew up backpacking (totally awesome, amirite!?). Because of this, they wanted to have an engagement shoot that was in a natural setting. Being quite the adventurer, Molly chose a place that had 200 costal redwoods in the middle of the city! It’s called Carbon Canyon Reigonal Park. It was such a fun day exploring the park with Molly and Brandon. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. :)
